Wow...it's really fun to get back into making cards.  Didn't realize how much I missed it.  I made a bunch of valentines...did I take pictures, NO...and took them over to the fire station...the guys were very appreciative and I'm thinking there will be a lot of happy wives on Valentines Day.  This card is for my grandson's birthday...a mountain man/cowboy if there ever was one.

Granddaughter Emma...about to be 11...LOVES dolphins...says she's going to be a marine biologist.

Notebooks

These notebooks were always some of the most popular items at the French Nest market.  People bought two or three...one by the phone, one for their purse, one on the nightstand.  Making all these cards, notebooks, etc is fun...and WHAT am I going to do with them all?  Thinking cap on...someone will enjoy them...I'll figure it out.

This is an illustration from a 1929 Good Housekeeping magazine...love how elegant she is.  Papertrey has a stamp set just perfect for notebooks...that's my next purchase.

Zoe got a new toy...a bouncing saucer...probably not the name but you know, one of those things they can sit in and bounce up and down...she loves it.  And I just LOVE that second picture!

Cards

Back to creativity...the first one I made back in September...these were Michele's thank you's for her shower.

A birthday card for my brother.

My 2012 goal is to do something once a month I've never done before.  So yesterday I packed a lunch and drove 200 miles on some of Colorado's backroads...not everyone's cup of tea but I love going anywhere I've never been before.  I keep my eye out for interesting business names...this qualifies.

One certainty out here on the plains is that every town will have beautiful old homes.

Cows...yup, another plains certainty...though how they live on that dry scratchy grass is a mystery.

The perfect wayside stop for a hungry traveler...love See's vanilla fudge and dark chocolate raspberry cremes.

I'm having some trouble getting my creative juices flowing...this card underwent multiple alterations before getting to the finished product...but I like it!

January 1, 2012

The start of Year 3...amazing.  Last year was all family...mostly Michele and then Zoe.  I did almost nothing  creative...unless it involved thinking of ways to keep Michele from losing her mind while stuck in bed for five months.  New year, new plans.  Lots of ideas for cards, journals, etc.  And to get started on the right track. my first post is an organization project I just finished.  Lace...I have sooooooooooooo much I could open a store...and do I use it...nope...because it was in these boxes...
...and who knew what there was...but now, after three days of measuring, sorting and wrapping, I can see exactly what there is...and wow, I have some really pretty stuff.  Can't wait to start using it!!
