Day 31

I can hardly tell what day of the week it is...Tuesday, Friday Sunday??? Every day is just like the one before it...cards, cards, cards. But I am seeing an end in sight...4 more days. I'm not sure whether to be excited because I've almost reached the goal, or to be terrified because it's almost time to welcome my first customer. I will have customers, won't I???

Finished the Easter cards, made one more for a new baby boy and started on the "whatever" cards. Most of them won't have words or they'll have sayings that fit lots of occasions.

This Valentine bookmark was copied from Michelle Wooderson...what a talented lady. You just cut strips of pink and red paper and glue them on...pretty cute!

I started with the masculine "whatever" cards first...they're sooooooooooo much easier to make because they require almost no "extras"...ribbon, buttons, sparkles.

Day 30

A beautiful day here today...so pretty that I took a break from making cards and went for a walk. Here's 11 more Easter/Spring cards...I need to make three more tomorrow and then start on the birthday ones.

This card (below) could use some buttons...I'll add those tomorrow.

This cards needs a bow. Funny when I look at them here I see things I don't see in person.

I really like using yarn as a tie occasionally in place of ribbon.

Day 28 and 29

Too tuckered out last night to even post the pictures. Right now, I am six cards behind schedule...I may never catch up...there will just be less to sell...oh, well!
Took the night off and went to a "game night" at Michele's work. Had a great time! There were games galore. I chose to play Balderdash with four others...love that game...and then the whole group (13) played Pictionary. Two teams...and I was on the losing one. Not only did we lose...twice!...but we really got stomped on. It was still fun.
So here we go with two more baby cards and the first 10 Spring/Easter.

Day 27

Another productive day...but not quite as productive as it needed to be. Today was "new baby" day and I got four cards done to go with the two I already have...but that's only six instead of the 10 I'd like to have.

I also finished up the get well cards with these three.

Mike...oldest son...is an insurance salesman and I've been making birthday cards for his clients for about 1-1/2 years. Making lots of the same cards is not a problem since they each go to someone different. At about 7:30pm, when I decided I'd had it for today, I had a change of heart and decided to make six cards for Mike. It took me 40 minutes...it took me ALL day to make the seven cards above. Go figure!!

Day 26

Today was "get well" day...no, not me, cards. Set out to make 10 get well cards. Didn't quite make it though...just seven. But, I'll fix it because tomorrow is "baby" day and I already have 2 baby cards so just 8 more of those and 3 more get well will be 11 cards...maybe I can do it.

That card above needs a little more something...maybe a longer sentiment card and some brads on each end.

Day 25

As I lay in bed this morning thinking of all I have to do if this Card Shoppe is really going to open February 5, anxiety arrived, and by the time I finished my coffee, full-blown terror was here. I really need to make 10 cards a day, every day between now and February 5, if I'm going to have enough. I've NEVER made 10 cards in one day!

Sooooooooooooo, more speed required...less dilly-dallying. And cards that fall on the simpler side...yet still nice. I started at 9:00am and now, at 7:30, I've made 10 sympathy cards...today's theme. I'm not super proud of all of them, but most are pretty good.

At the beginning, I thought, "Okay...I can do this." About 1:30 when I'd only finished five, I wasn't so sure. But I did it!! We'll see if I can repeat the process for 10 more days.
